Petra Wright Ceramics

I love pottery so I was thrilled when Petra got in touch to book me for a 2 hour photoshoot to capture her new collections ready for launch. We set up a simple corner in her studio and worked our way through each piece. I had to ensure that I was showcasing the glazes in all their colourful glory and shine as well as the beautiful organic shapes for each item.

All of Petra’s work is wheel-thrown and fired to over 1200 degrees Celsius in an electric kiln. A maximum of two glaze colours are applied to underline the simplicity of form, often playing with the effect of the interaction between glazes used.
